For anyone who thinks that dogs are the only ones with tricks up their sleeves, it’s time to meet Digda, the kitty with a thirst for adventure. Digda is an Australian cat who accompanies her owner Robert Dollwett on all sorts of impressive adventures. Not only does the feline skateboard, swim, and surf, but she also performs gymnastic tricks on-command. On top of all that, the cat has also been trained to use a human toilet and flush after she completes her business.
Dollwett proudly admits that his cat’s confidence sets her apart from everyone else and that she very well may be the most talented kitty in the world. Dollwett first met Digda at an animal shelter when he was looking for a new pet and the cat insisted that he pick her. The vivacious cat started to perform tricks and do whatever she could to get the man’s attention and finally her persistence paid off. Dollwett caved and took her home. The man admits that she picked him.
The man and cat duo are now inseparable as Dollwett has trained Digda to become the wonder cat that she is today. Dollwett owns a pet training business and has created online tutorials on Youtube for anyone who wishes to train their cat some skills too. When training his cat, he used patience and well-timed reinforcement but says that she still has lots to learn.
Dollwett will continue to train his beloved pet but hopes that Digda’s impressive skills and capabilities will inspire other people to adopt cats from rescue shelters. He also hopes to raise awareness about the capabilities of felines. Cats are filling up shelters at an alarming rate but with the right patience and care from humans they can make wonderful companions for everyone.
